  1. Moira Cobban says:

Drew you are the first of our wee group to go and you will be sorely missed by us all. You were funny, generous, kind, caring and a dear soul….. but couldn’t sing for toffee as much as you tried. We loved our time spent with you when we were children, and the many many holidays our families shared growing up together.
I will miss our catch up chats on the phone but most of all I will miss you!
You lived your life for those you loved,
    and those you loved remember.
    Goodnight Drew rest well.

  2. Pam Belmour says:

    Simply the best, Andy.
Thank you so much for all you did for me and the students and colleagues at LIS.
I have many fond memories of your entertaining and humorous stories of students, staff, and your travels. RIP

  3. Claire Farquhar says:

    Dad,

You are just the best daddy, and I miss you terribly.
Life is not the same without you! What I would give to have one more chat one more hug.

I’ll keep trying to do you proud daddy

    Sleep tight.

    Love you x

  4. Jo Bennett says:

A true legend. Passionate about the pupils who absolutely loved working at Little Ilford School to make a difference. Andy’s humour, energy and zest for life was evident. A song in the morning down the corridor alongside a dance not always together will be a memory I will remember fondly. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Andy, never dull. One in a million who will be sadly missed by the community and everyone who had the privilege of being in his company.

    Jo.

  5. Gianna Sillani says:

    Dear Andy,
You have been a very significant presence in my life. A true friend, a very supportive colleague, a father figure, a brother, an inspiration.
Your drive, your humour, your infectious laughter, that sparkle in your eye, that flame in your heart and the empathy you showed us all will never be forgotten. You leave such a legacy. What an incredible life. Forever grateful to you. Much love, Gianna

  7. Bhajan Kalsi says:

Andy you were the best Line Manager we had. Nothing was too much trouble for you, you always praised us and was very supportive when we became the first HLTA’s in LIS. My best memory of you is chasing pupils to get into classes as it started to snow very heavily one winter morning. Of course they wanted to play in the snow! I will always remember your smiling face and some stories from years back, when you would start talking to parents of students that you had also taught. RIP Dear Andy.

  8. Jackie Wilkinson says:

    Dear Andy,
Thank you for all the supports you gave us as our line manager when we became HLTAs. You were simply the best always listening and supporting us. I will remember your humour and upbeat personality with fondness.
    Rest in Peace

  9. Charlotte says:

Thanks for being such an amazing dad !

Will miss our Wednesday afternoons together. I will hang on to all the memories and make sure I remind the girls of quack quack grandad Andy!

I am sure you will be telling everyone up there all your stories and inappropriate jokes that always cheered me up on a Friday! I will keep up the takeaway curry tradition and wish I could hear you say ‘This is the best curry I have ever had.

You had an amazing send off and I was so surprised how many people came! You would have loved it!!

Finally getting the driveway done, sad you won’t get to see the house all finished but hoping you are in the stars looking down on all of us!

Love you and miss you terribly xxx
Charlotte, Nav, Amber-Louise, Emma and Elsie ❤️
