Remembering the indomitable Mrs T with huge fondness and a smile: Juliet and Peter, you always knew she and your beloved Dad were special. I wonder if you knew how heartening the humour and zest for life that shone from your family were to so many around you all?
As the days and months go forward, she and all of you will remain loved and precious to me and to many, many friends. We all hold you in our thoughts and offer our gentlest condolences. May her memory truly be a blessing. X
Mrs Telford a formidable woman to the end and tower of strength to Juliet & Peter. What a wonderful life full of love and laughter and inspiration.
Fond memories of Mrs T from Ellacombe Primary School. A force to be reckoned with, but also an extremely kind and thoughtful teacher. One of the good ones. Love and condolences to Juliet, Peter and family on their great loss.
Greta was our neighbour when we moved in. We both
recall her coming round and saying she was always around if we needed anything. She was always great at giving us suggestions for the garden. I’m not greenfingered at all but she was so patient with me, explaining to me the names of the plants and how to look after them. She would talk to whomever was in our garden, family and friends, which showed how friendly she was.
We do miss her.
Greta, my dear sister, always so caring, thoughtful and kind. Forever in my thoughts and always in my heart. Miss you so much, Janice.
We have lost a lovely amazing lady who will be sadly missed
by brother-in-law Jim.
Greta has been in our lives for many years and will always have a place in our hearts. She was the most incredible person in so many ways and we are so fortunate to have known her. Greta was always happy to share her wonderful gardening knowledge as well as helping out with baby sitting duties when our boys were small. She never missed a birthday, Christmas or Easter with her lovely thoughtful gifts. Our deepest sympathies go to her family but know that she was both respected and loved by us all.
We have enjoyed getting to know Greta as our neighbour over the last 20 years, especially enjoying our text chats during lockdown. She’ll be greatly missed on Deal Street, the road won’t be the same without you.
A life well lived. It was a privilege to have had the pleasure of her company
