To Cecile and Tony, thinking about you and thinking about dear Nonna. She was exuberant, kind and wise, and did so much for us as the children were growing up. She doted on all three of them, always talking about Stella ‘the brain’, Elena’s ‘Hollywood glamour’ and her little Freddie ‘Flintoff’. Let’s hope she is enjoying some of her own amazing cooking somewhere. Rest in Peace, Nonna. Love, Paul
We had a memorable Wedding Anniversary dinner at Maroush in London many years ago thanks to Liz’s enthusiastic recommendation that a particular lamb dish there was “just like in Alexandria” – indeed it was very good and the service was still probably the best we’ve ever had!
Elizabeth ruled Tenter Ground, she was the queen and that was her kingdom, without her, the home has been quiet. She was a character, one with so many amazing experiences of her travels around the world – like to France. Her stories will be cherished, as will she in our hearts.
On behalf of everyone here at Hawthorn Green, we hope she has reached a peaceful place and wish you and your family well.
We’re sorry for your loss.
Dear Tony, Thank you for the privilege of being able to join you and your family virtually for your Mum’s funeral. I am very sorry for your loss and hope that you will be comforted by the countless memories you share with family members and friends.
It was always a pleasure for me to see you and your Mum Elizbeth together at our VPS choir rehearsals. Elizabeth was such a cheerful, enthusiastic participant and I loved the way she would continue singing in the car when you dropped some of us off. It was a joy to have her with us. May her beautiful voice continue to resound as she takes her rest. Please accept my best wishes to you and your family at difficult this time.
